Natural Garments for Creative Spirits
Welcome to Weissnaehen,
this is a slow-fashion-brand from southern Germany. I make artsy garments from natural fibres inspired by a century-old book. They are made for fellow creators, so everybody can feel comfortable and cute while making art.
In order to be as sustainable as possible, I put a lot of effort in making long-lasting garments and choosing high-qualitiy fabrics. Every piece is 100% designed and carefully made by me in my little studio with lots of love.
This small collection gets updated slowly but regularly, I ship worldwide. The garments are all single pieces - there is a detailed description on each one on the shop page.

The basic principles
Slow
This is a whole-hearted slow-fashion-brand. I love creating, so a lot of care goes in the planning, the design and the sewing itself. Besides the sewing machine I will use hand-stitches when necessary. Every garment gets the time it needs and deserves. I have high quality standards, because I want my products to be long lasting and resistent. All of them are machine-washable at 40 °C.
Concious
For all the garments here I only use fabrics made from cotton or linen, because those two are clearly the champions of all fibres. They feel amazing, keep you warm while still letting your skin breathe. They are super-durable, don't lose their qualitiy, and are biodegradable at the end of their live. Whenever available I will chose organic or recycled material to preserve our nature as much as possible.
Old-timey
The original idea for Weissnaehen came from a more-than-a-century-old instruction-book. I write more about it on the Origin-Story-Page. Many dresses are based on instructions for chemises and mens-shirts, those were originally worn underneath the "real" clothes. I thought that they are way too pretty to be hidden, so I made them as outer garments. I love the Victorian vibes they give.
Comfortable
Due to their design that is mainly based on Victorian undergarments, the general fit of the pieces is very airy-loose-fitting. The vibes they give is Victorian-Ghost meets Friendly-Witch-in-the-Woods. They are supposed to make you feel cozy and pretty while creating beautiful things. I believe, that every person is really a creator, whether it is music, paintings, stories or whatever craft you can think of.
